Bless Your Dead

About

Bless Your Dead is a Welsh metalcore band that emerged in early 2026, rising from the ashes of the Bridgend-based outfit When We Were Wolves. After a hiatus and a period of artistic rebuilding, the group rebranded with a vision to deliver a sound that was heavier and more focused than their previous incarnation. Led by vocalist Mitch Bock, the four-piece ensemble—which includes guitarists Jay Coatsworth and Jack Adams alongside drummer Kristian Eirsland—spent a year writing and recording before officially launching the new project to signify a clean break and a fresh creative start. The band’s musical style is a high-octane blend of metalcore and post-hardcore, characterized by a mix of crushing breakdowns, anthemic choruses, and aggressive riffs. Their sound often draws comparisons to contemporary genre leaders such as Bring Me The Horizon and Polaris, while incorporating a modern, confrontational edge. Lyrically, the group channels raw emotion and personal frustration into their work, often exploring themes of defiance and mental health struggles through a lens of renewed aggression and purpose. Bless Your Dead made their debut with the explosive 2026 single "Everyone's A Target," which was followed by the second single "Slave to the Decay," a track that further showcased their willingness to experiment with nu-metal influences. The band achieved a significant career highlight in April 2026 with their live debut at Noizzefest in Cardiff. With a series of singles and high-profile festival appearances, the group has quickly established themselves as a rising force in the United Kingdom’s heavy music landscape.
